Taking the 'T' from Logan Airport to Harvard University

The MBTA bus and subway network is your best direct connection between Logan Airport and Harvard University. The Silver Line SL1 bus rapid transit service--featuring low-floors, luggage racks, and low-emissions--will stop right outside the airport terminals and take you into South Station, where you can transfer to the Red Line subway to ride to Harvard Square.

What you need to know about the Silver Line:

  • There is one stop outside each Terminal and 2 stops at Terminal B.
  • Service runs from approximately 5:30AM to 12:30AM every day of the week.
  • On weekdays, buses run every 10 minutes between 6:50AM and 8:00PM, and every 15 minutes at other times.
  • On weekends, buses run every 12 minutes.
  • Silver Line buses have low floors for easy access, including wheelchair access, and there is plenty of room in the onboard luggage racks.

When you arrive at South Station, go down one level to the Red Line Inbound platform. The Red Line operates every 5-7 minutes on weekdays, and every 7-8 minutes on weekends.
